Schuyler Seager

Schuyler Seager

Some sad news from Florida today for my DNS Family.

I am sorry to announce that Schuyler “Skip” Seager passed away after a sudden illness at home Wednesday evening May 29. Skip leaves his wife, Sharon, two children and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cards may be sent to Sharon at 6916 Superior St Circle, Sarasota 34243.

I enjoyed Skip’s sharp political wit and insight. It carried considerable weight given his status as a Vietnam infantryman survivor. His cool levelheaded handling of work issues at DNS was an enviable skill I admired. I’ll never forget his Barbershop quartet singalong in our DNS “Time after Time” skit. Many good memories of a great guy who truly made Milwaukee and world a better place. Going to be missed.

I remember Skip coming to Kenosha when we were in junior high school.  He was so smart in math class!  Later Chris and I would occasionally run into him in Milwaukee where both he and Chris worked for a time at City Hall, though not at the same time.  It makes me so sad to lose yet another classmate.  My condolences to his family.
