Robert Irving

Robert M. Irving, age 65 of Kenosha, died on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, Milwaukee.

Born on September 11, 1944, he was the son of William and Ruth (Dowse) Irving.

From 1963 until 1978, he honorably served in the U.S. Air Force achieving the rank of Tech Sergeant. He was stationed in Vietnam and various other bases throughout the U.S.

On June 17, 1967 in Belle Fourche, SD, he married Noel Smith.

After receiving a medical discharge from the military, Robert went on to work for Hospitality Nursing and Rehab Center for nearly 15 years.

Robert was proud to be a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #20 and volunteered his time at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center. He was an avid woodworker and accomplished cribbage player.

He is survived by his wife, Noel Irving of Kenosha; his mother, Ruth Irving of Sherwood, AR; his three daughters, Christina Irving and Jennifer Eklund, both of Kenosha and Karen (Travis) LaRock of Salem; his six siblings, Mary (Mark) Jurgaitis of Neillsville, Thomas Irving of Phoenix, AZ, Kathy (Larry) Olsen of Sherwood, AR, Richard (Pamela) Irving of Kennesaw, GA, Billy (Connie) Irving of Streamwood, IL and Lorraine Irving of Phoenix, AZ; and his three granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle; his father, William; and his brother, James.
