Jim faced his challlenges with grace and humor.  After an extended absence for corrective surgery in grade school, he was warmly welcomed back to class, at Lincoln.  He simply pressed on.  In later years, we ran into each other on occasion and he was always happy to see old school chums - and always smiling.  Jim was a good man in every respect.  We should all have his strength.

Jim was a very special person. He faced so many health issues in his life but my husband and I never heard him complain about them. He always remembered our birthdays and anniversaries. He was truly one of a kind. May he Rest In Peace!!

I've known Jim since grade school. He did have some medical issues growing up, and I remember the whole fourth grade class signing his cast one time, when he came back to school. But when that cast came off he was back at hitting the heck out of that softball bowling or whatever else he felt like doing, and did it well, didn't slow him down at all. When Jim worked at the Kenosha lNews ,if you, family ,or friends were in the newspaper with a picture or an article he'd make sure you had a couple of extra copies within a couple of days. In later years when Jim lost his speech, he didn't lose his ability to communicate, whether it was one of his scribbly notes or just a wink or nod, punctuated with a big smile you still got the message.Rest in Peace

I also knew Jim all through school.  I can remember playing at his house in 75th street when we were in elementary school.  He was a very nice guy and didn't let his challenges stop him from doing anything.  I hope the picture from our 4th grade uploads

Jim was one of the best. Got to know him my senior year and then worked with him on many class reunions. He will be missed by all that had any dealings with him. He was always thinking of others before home self. RIP to one of the best guys I have ever known
