Jerry Parker

I got to know Rick in my senior year as we both liked working on cars.  Rick and I were at Stevens Point  in 1965 and in all those years we made a lot of road trips to Devil's Lake, Madison, Northern Wisconsin and even drove a TR-3 to Lauderdale for Easter break.  Some years later I attended his wedding to his lovely bride, Mary Jo, wishing them both the very best.  I even found time to visit them when they lived in Pascogoula where Rick worked in the ship building industry, but I was just traveling between duty stations in the course of training.  After the military I lost track of them and was saddened to learn of his passing...For you see Rick taught me to never be afraid to take a risk, never shy away from a challange, and to keep trying until you succeed and all the while keep your sense of humor.

I will always remember his spirit and positive attitude and at this moment am saying a prayer for his soul and one for his family.           Jerry Parker
